A business runs for years on a setup assembled by whoever happened to be nearest a keyboard. The backup has never been tested. Two people share a login. The router is whatever the internet company left behind in 2019.
None of it is on fire. All of it is warm. And there is never a good week to deal with any of it, which is precisely how it gets to be six years old.
I am the person you call before it goes up, and unfortunately also the person you call afterwards.

- In writing, first. If it needs to change you hear it from me while there is still a decision to make, not on the invoice.
- Contract
- None. No minimum term, no retainer, no cancellation fee. If you never ring again, nothing lapses.
- Ownership
- All yours. Domains, licences, accounts, the router password. If we part ways you lose nothing but my phone number.
- Commissions
- None, from anyone. Which is the only reason I can tell you the forty dollar option is fine.
- Hardware
- No markup. You buy it directly at the price anyone pays. I just tell you what to order.
- Reply
- Within one business day, every time. Usually the same afternoon.
Mission, and about an hour in each direction.
On site across Mission, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Chilliwack, Agassiz and Harrison, plus Deroche, Dewdney, Hatzic, Yarrow, Rosedale, Sumas Prairie and the rural roads either side. Travel inside the Valley is included, so you are not paying for my drive.
Remote covers anywhere in Canada at the same rate, and far more of this work is remote than people expect.
One local note worth the paragraph: advice written for city offices quietly assumes a connection a farm on Sumas Prairie does not have. Put everything in the cloud is a wonderful plan right up to the morning the line drops and the whole business becomes a paperweight. Out here the honest answer is usually a mix, and which way it falls depends on your line.

If you cannot take payments, nobody can get email, or a machine is showing a ransom note, put that at the top of the message and I will treat it that way.
